Large ship berthing systems help captain and pilots lead large ships in or out the port and be rthing or unberthing operations to improve security and timeliness.This paper uses large ships w hich enter tangshan port as engineering practice project,researches architecture and function desi gn of the system in the port,describes advanced technologies applied in the system: RTK technol ogy,Beidou/GPS differential dual-mode satellite navigation and positioning technology,AIS app lication technology and ECDIS comprehensive display technology,etc.The system improves the pilot efficiency through providing high precision and dynamic pilot and berthing information at real time.The system mainly consists of Jingjintang Harbor,Caofeidian cell tower locator,berthing master-slave positioning processor and berthing display terminal.The cell tower locator adapts RTK technology,whose functions are worked together by reference station,mobile station and communication equipment.The reference station will transfer the position data corrected to mobile station.The mobile station is equipped by radio reception board which is used for receiving the data transferred from referring station and calculates the position within a centimeter – accuracy.Berthing master-slave positioning processor includes MCU module,AIS receive module,differential GNSS module,WIFI module and lithium battery module.The slave allows no AIS receiving module or data collecting,incepting and disposing.The display terminal receives mainly data from master-slave positioning processor,AIS information,display the information of berthing and Unearthing on ECS in real-time and dynamically.Among which,master-slave positioning processor,berthing and unberthing display terminal can communicate through WIFI and realize data transmission.Verified by application in Tangshan port,the system can really into unberthing pilot piloting and auxiliary operation.Through the actual test,obtained the berthing instrument equipment positioning accuracy to an average of 2.35 m,DGPS interface card berthing instrument host using RTK technology processing precision to an average of 0.19 m;WIFI furthest distance of 51 m.To meet the high precision positioning system and wireless data transmission distance requirements.
