| Water is the foundation for human survival and development. It is also an indispensable resource, which is quite important for human. However floods is the worst natural disaster causing a terrible loss of human life and property. Especially for some yield of water is concentrated so floods have a stronger destructiveness due to the influence of climate and geographical characteristics. In addition, the standard of river embankment is not enough. Once these area suffer a large flood, people will bear serious casualties and economic losses. People gradually realized that simply rely on engineering measures can’t meet the needs to prevent flood in the modern world with the enhancement of people’s awareness of flood prevention. So the engineering measures and non-engineering measures must be combined together to prevent and manage the flood disaster. People should change their flood control concept from "flood prevention" to "flood management". Flood risk map as an important non-engineering measures, can provide a scientific basis to decision-makers when they design the scheme of flood avoiding and victims transfer, therefore it plays a significant role in the flood control and emergency rescue.In this paper, MIKE series software was adopted to establish the two-dimensional hydrodynamic model of the medium and small river basins based on the one-dimensional river flood evolution. The drawing work of basin flood risk map was carried out to establish the coupling between the one-dimensional and two-dimensional calculation model using MIKE FLOOD software. The basin is divide into plain and mountainous basin in consideration of the different geographical characteristics. Taking Tanghe of Shanxi and Bailong river of Gansu as examples, the drawing process of flood risk map in plain and mountainous area is introduced respectively in detail. The hydrological information such as submerging range, level of flood velocity and submergence depth etc. is calculated respectively when the flood occurs at different frequency. This work has a very important role and guiding significance to help people to have an intuitive understanding of the magnitude of flood risk in different regions. Also, that can improve the level of flood analysis river basin and intensify the flood prevention safety control.The last part in this paper is the prospect of the production and application for the flood risk map in some river basin. The drawing work of flood risk map combined modern science and information technology is proposed. The Concrete operation method and the formulation of related flood insurance policy was learned to lower the losses in flood disaster. |
