Research On Spatial Pattern Of Urban Park Women And Design Strategies

At the end of 19th century, with the rise of feminism movement, dedicated to fight for women's equality with men in social status, women became the object of widespread concern. Later, as the feminism movement developed and thrived, feminist thought gradually penetrated into subject areas of geography, city planning, architecture and so on, and the issue of gender difference in space environment design attracted wide attention. Current researches are mainly descriptions and discussions on the phenomenon of gender difference, while, as to space design, a small amount of women start from limited aspects of "space use", "space requirements", "Space preference", "space satisfaction" to carry on extensive researches. This paper attempts to carry on in-depth study systematically about women and city park space, and make consideration by dividing female behaviors and their mental status into flowing, distributed and corresponding states to make targeted breakdown field investigation and analysis, thereby building female spatial pattern in the city park.This paper is divided into seven chapters and five parts as follows:The first part (Chapter ? and ?):Introduction, review and related research results. Describes the research background, purpose and significance, the main concept definition, putting forward research ideas and methods, and clarifies relative research contents and develops appropriate technology roadmap. By the review of the gender space theory at home and abroad and relative study results of female psychology,environmental behavior psychology, it establishes a research logic of "master behavioral and psychological health- research on behavioral and psychological characteristics--Construct psychological behavior patterns--apply female spatial pattern ".The second part (chapter ? and ?):Investigation of female behavior and psychological characteristics in the city park, including flow and distribution characteristics and corresponding states of females visiting city garden park. Through field research and comparative analysis of both sexes walking in the park to summarize flow and distribution characteristics and corresponding states of females playing in city park.The third part (Chapter ?):Use the results of the second part (chapter ? and ?) (flow and distribution characteristics and corresponding states of females visiting city garden park) as facts, combined with the theoretical basis of the first part, to make corresponding conclusion about the flow pattern, distribution patterns and the corresponding state mode of female space in city park.The fourth part (Chapter ?):Considering from the border of the city park, the interior of different areas in the city park, the border of different area of the city park, the middle part of each region of city park, using some of the existing city parks as example to make analysis of the status quo, and proposing corresponding design strategies on the basis of female spatial pattern proposed in this paper.The fifth part (Chapter ?):Conclusions and prospects. Make summary of the main results of this study and prospect.
