For the low hand riveting efficiency of vertical rivet machine of sheet metal parts, sheet metal parts in the size range widely and many kinds of, withou t specifically applicable to sheet metal riveting, and special mould, not in a series of problems in sheet metal riveting. We propose a method based on industrial robot with cross slide automatic plate feeding device, and with the rivet machine riveting scheme. For small size parts, automatic plate feeding device based on industrial robot can be used alone.For the large size plate, it can also be used as a plate plate device and use automatic plate feeding device based on cross slide. Two kinds of devices were designed.Based on the design of the cross slide device for the automatic plate feeding device can be matched to use vertical riveting machine. The workpiece is fixed by an electromagnet, and the workpiece can be arranged with a guide rail. Cross slide and photoelectric sensor can realize the precise positioning of the target point X and Y directions of rivet, the electric push rod control the Z direction. And the guide column is used to eliminate the riveting deformation, so as to achieve automatic riveting. For the design of industrial robot, the end effector can be matched with the robot. By using an electromagnet fixed workpiece, workpiece clamping range can be adjusted. Through the path of the robot design, the completion of the picking plate, place d plate parts of the action.Device with photoelectric sensor to achieve precise positioning of the target point, while the use of compression spring to eliminate the distortion, the realization of automatic riveting. In order to analyze the effect of deformation on the plate location, the finite element analysis of the clamping condition of plates, determine the plate deformation. Deformation of the rivet target point in the X, Y direction will not produce the position, do not need to carry out displacement compensation. The optimization of rivet path method branch and bound, determine the target point of the shortest path.The design of the control system of the two devices in accordance with the rivet process flow, including the design of the hardware and the control flow of the control system. Through the experimental verification of the prototype, the device runs smoothly, whether in the use or in combination with the use of the device, can meet the design requirements. The device can realize the full aut omation of the process of the riveting of sheet metal, and solve the problem of manual riveting, improve the production efficiency and practicability, and apply a wide range.
