With the continuous development of grid technology, automatic control technology in the application of the power grid control is become more. At the same time, people has higher requirement for the quality of power grid, as well as network can provide stable voltage, reduce the power grid reactive power loss phenomenon, and to reduce the network using the economy. Power grid reactive power control for the control problem of multiple targets, require the use of advanced control strategies, achieve in improving voltage quality, ensure the operation economy of the voltage. Traditional grid control technology of the low level of automation control, already can't meet the demand for power grid control system, in this paper, we present more advanced voltage reactive power control system is studied.Smart grid voltage reactive power optimization of automatic control subsystem (hereinafter referred to as:AVC) by dispatching automation system to collect all the nodes telemetry, remote communication for on-line analysis and calculation, such as real-time data to each node voltage qualified, mark for the power factor as constraint conditions, the online voltage reactive power optimization control, main transformer tap-changer adjusting minimum, capacitor switching the most reasonable, the optimal reactive power generator, the highest and the grid voltage qualification rate of the comprehensive optimization target of minimizing the loss rate of the final form control instruction, performed automatically by the dispatching automation system, realized the automatic closed-loop control voltage and reactive power optimization. This paper mainly introduces the control system of voltage and reactive power optimization control process, principle, and gives the reactive power optimization control the function of each module in the system. Finally taking tongbai county as an example, this paper introduces the specific application of the AVC system, its related function interface is presented.
