The Planning Strategy Of Mid-Rise And High-Density Housing During The New Urbanization

In the rapid urbanization process, the trendency are more obvious that the migration of city’s main residential areas to the suburbs. And in the role of sustainable development strategies and new urbanization policy, the traditional residential construction mode can not effectively adapt to the realities of residential suburbanization. But the mid-rise and high density housing mode are able to effectively solve the problem of existing settlements. Whether the mid-rise and high-density housing able used in China were studied in this paper. And the main contants are as follows:Introduced China’s urban construction in settlements in the existing problems and causes of the problem; do questionnaire survey to the residents of suburban settlements to understand a wide range of residents living demand.The concept of mid-rise and high-density housing elaborated through the various features with analysis and examples, described a mid-rise and high-density residential settlements corresponding to several advantages.By foreign advanced residential building strategy presentation and analysis, combined with the characteristics of China’s demand for housing, made of high density multi-use settlements localization strategy to improve the living comfort of suburbia, to extend the life settlements cycle.
