Research On The Virtual Simulation Technology Of General Aviation Flight Environment

Virtual simulation technology is an emerging technology that creates a virtual system to simulate the environment based on a real system as a template.Virtual simulation technology also known as virtual reality technology,is referred to as VR.The people can observe things change,feel real interactive experience and get the same feeling as the real world like in a realistic environment by virtual simulation technology.As a tool,virtual simulation technology is widely used on military,aerospace,medical treatment,education and other fields.How to combine the virtual simulation technology with the general aviation flying environment is the key point of this paper.On the basis of the analysis and combine that development of the virtual simulation technology and the general aviation,this paper use virtual simulation technology to achieve simulation of the general aviation flight environment.Firstly this paper establishes the model of the general plane by using3 Ds Max software,then it optimizes and integrates the aircraft’s prime modules by using Multigen Creator software.This paper uses LOD technology,degrees of freedom technology,texture mapping technology,billboard technology and model instantiation technology to solve the problem of balance between 3D modeling fidelity and operation rate,and constructed terrain model basis on the elevation map.Then it subsequently loads the previously built model into the Vega Prime simulation software,combining the characteristics and working principles of Vega Prime software to set the topographic parameters,time,environment;the creations of a point of view according to the Hermitian spline curve algorithm defined by the navigator,and finishing simulation of clouds and snow based on particle system.Ultimately,the virtual simulation of the general aircraft flying environment is completed.The simulation program is running well on the aviation simulation platform of Hebei University of Science and Technology.After many simulation experiments,the minimum accuracy of elevation map and processing technology of data are the most important factors that affect the simulation results.Due to the limitation of the condition in this paper,the simulation results are relatively rough,and in the future,the virtual simulation of the general aviation flight environment will reach a higher level of perfection.
