Research On Public Space Design Of Urban Complex Based On Place Concept

With the development of urbanization in China,large and medium-sized cities are being towards intensification and compound.Because of this trend,urban complex is becoming the emphasis of urban development,and a good strategy to intensive and compound development of urban land.However,with the increasing strength of the urban complex construction,the original urban spaces are being fragmented by these huge volume of construction(group).Public spaces of urban complex are short of organic integration with urban space,so it is difficult to form a city place which blend in with the urban environment,that lack of sense of place.Based on this background,this paper analyzes public spaces of the city complex using the theory of place and finds the corresponding design strategies.This paper takes theory of place and public spaces of the city complex as the research object,after analyzing the theory of place and concepts,structure and features of urban complex public space,then combines with relevant theoretical literature to find how theory of place affects on the design of urban complex public space;on this basis,combining field research and analysis on some examples,carries out a detailed analysis on construction elements of public space in urban complex from three levels of the urban context,spatial entities,limiting surfaces,at the same time,analyzes the function and construction principles of every elements;finally integrates the elements of urban complex public spaces by place integration model,and aiming at different levels,summarizes the design strategy for urban complex public spaces under the theory of place.
