The Research Of Geriatric Assistive Products For Walking Based On Fault-Tolerant Design And Experience Design

The Aged tendency of population in China is more and more obvious, the development of the aging industry should also attract the attention of people. As the elderly population continues expanding, there have been new requirements in product design for senior citizen. How to improve the life quality of senior citizens and their living conditions become the research hot point and social focus.Today, the elderly population has become an important part of the social population, while the elderly travel safety is always a headache to the society from all walks of life. Therefore, this paper chooses the design of geriatric assistive products for walking as an entry point, combines with the national conditions of the aging society, summarizes the demands characteristics of senior citizens. Then, takes The fault-tolerant design and experience design as guiding theories to explore the design principles of geriatric assistive products for walking. Finally, Combines with the theory and practice, to design the assistive products for walking that truly meet the senior citizens' need.This paper is divided into five parts, the first chapter tells the story of the social background, purpose, significance and research methods, and emphasizes the necessity of the subject; the second chapter is the analysis of the current situation of China's aging and the elderly living conditions, and sums up the senior citizens' physiological and psychological characteristics; the third chapter introduces the related theory system of fault-tolerant design and experience design, and both of them are put forward for the guiding principles of geriatric assistive products for walking. The fourth chapter is the actual design research, and draws the theoretical model of users and products. The fifth part combine the theory with practice, to make the final design practice.
