Spillway is an important part of reservoir.Reservori operational safety is closely with spillway.To ensure the safe of reservoir operation in Xinjiang,The articles do a comprehensive,in-depth study to structural optimization and hydraulic characteristics of stepped spillway.In this article,through physical model test,numerical simulation and theoretical analysis,stepped spillway are studied,using the method of physical model experiment to model test,the design scheme of the primary measured under different working conditions of the stepped spillway hydraulic characteristics, flow capacity,water depth, velocity field.Physical model test measured data it is found that stilling pool has formed far from type water jump,when the flow is greater than 20-year flood and flow in stilling pool toward the downstream channel,flow pattern disorde by the original des ign scheme under various operating conditions.To solve above problens for the steeped spillway structure,steeped spillway structure is optimizate and physical model test is done by optimization program.According the analysis of measured in optimization program,stepped spillway flow is steady,flow rate and pressure conform regulatory requirements.According to the optimized design scheme using FLUENT software for all conditions of the steep slope drainage numerical simulation calculation, numerical simulatio n and the result was compared with physical model test results,and found that both coincide wel.
