In this paper, the pulsating flow of the pipe network system of the compressor is studied from the theoretical analysis, the commonly used device, the mode of the buffer and the analysis of the flow field.First of all, the article introduces airflow transfer theory and method of plane wave theory used in the research of compressor pipeline system, and complex pipe system transfer matrix is deduced by the structural element of piping system based on the plane wave theory. The method of the acoustic modal analysis is used to verify the accuracy of the transfer matrix.Secondly, the traditional assembling method of inlet pipe of the buffer is improved. The pressure pulsation of network can be reduced effectively by using buffer, discussing the effect of the tangential inlet buffer and radial buffer with different outlet conditions. The reason that affects buffer performance can be gotten through the analysis of internal flow flied and fluid path lines of different buffers. Five groups experiments of different outlet pressure of the compressor are used to provide boundary conditions for Fluent simulation calculation. The result shows that the degrees of pressure pulsation reduction of buffers are almost same and the tangential inlet buffer has better performance than radial inlet buffer for different pressure level.Finally, the ignored factor between theoretical calculation of the transfer matrix method and the Navier-Stokes equations of fluid flow is compared, the differences can be seeked from the pathlines of different types buffers and from the different performance of the different kinds of buffer. There will be vortex and circumfluence when cross section changes in the pipelines, and the vortex and circumfluence may produce fluid impact and energy loss. In view of this, this paper puts forward two-step method used to calculate the pulsating parameters of the flow:the value of pressure pulsation can be obtained by the theory of transfer matrix. However, the value is gotten under the condition that the modal of the buffer is simplified and some assumptions are the precondition. Therefore, the second step is considered fluid flow effects caused by variable mechanical properties, the kinetic energy loss during the process should be added to the results of transfer matrix method, and the value will be closer to the engineering.
