Small Apartment Space Design Research In Northeast China

With the rapid development of China’s economy, people’s living standard is improving and urbanization is accelerating, so land resources will be increasingly scarce. And along with house prices rising, small apartment which is functional and conveniently located are very popular now. Therefore this thesis takes the small apartment space design as research content.The research begin from the background, purpose, significance, and the analysis of the current situation and then find questions and points of small apartment space design. To optimize small apartment space design and improve the living quality and taste in Northeast China,we made a depth study about small apartment space design and find a good design mode by field research and analysis of the difference between living conditions and actual situation, based on listing and induction for many factors which affect the space usage of small apartment.Thus making the small apartment space design in Northeast more rational and humane,personalized and differentiated.Theoretical significance of this study is to rationalize and optimize small apartment space design on the methodological level. In practice, many designers lack of small apartment space design experience, so they just take ordinary design as design standard. When they encountered with practical problems they can only solve these problems by limited experience and occasional insights. Strictly speaking, it is not objective and scientific. Theory has proved that residential study should be the most effective method to explore and solve the small apartment space design problems.The thesis researched the rationalization mode of small apartment space design by investigating and analyzing of the cases in Northeast. Providing a more scientific basis and broader horizons for the development of thinking and methods of small apartment space design. Providing more detailed new ideas for concepts and methods of small apartment space design and decoration design. Making constructive suggestions and strategies for the improvement of small apartment space design. This thesis presented optimization measures for the small apartment space design to meet the market demand and provide better residential units for users.Therefore, this thesis select the "small apartment space design in Northeast" as the subject. By specific analysis methods for designing, trying to find key design elements and propose significance design methods and steps.
