Nowadays china is already the world's quite large aircraft manufacturing and air transportation country, the rapid development of the aviation market put forward higher requirements for aircraft landing on guidance accuracy, safety, reliability, the value of MLS' device is greatly improved, the technical difficulty rising. Improving the ground equipment test accuracy and targeting guidance repair has been imminent.In the light of the shortage of current airport microwave landing ground equipment maintenance method, the paper makes study on the fault phenomenon and the diagnosis process of microwave landing equipment. From the point of the whole test system function demand, according to the basic detection method and the common detection principle, the subject designs the synthetic maintenance system (SMS) for microwave landing equipment. The synthetic maintenance system consists of signal processing, interface, post-processing, the software module of host computer system and power supply, etc. The signal processing module realizes the receiving, processing, demodulation and testing of input signal. The testing data provided by the signal processing module is analyzed in the post-processing module, and the error warning signal is also generated through logical reasoning and calculus. The software module of host computer system can intelligently achieve fault diagnosis based on error warning signals. The interface module provides the interface communication among DSP, FPGA and the host computer system, while the power module supplies the power for the whole system.Through the debugging on MLS synthetic maintenance system, the testing performance is analyzed and confirmed. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed scheme can improve the efficiency of detection and repair.
