Rutting which is the specific form of asphalt deformation is one of the most serious damage types of asphalt pavement nowadays. The emergence of the rutting not only seriously affects the functional quality of the pavement, but also threatens the traffic safety. Evaluating concrete stability through standard method of single-layer under high temperature cannot reflect the overall rut resistance of asphalt surface. In this aspect, there is significant importance to do the research on long time thickness track test in solving the combinational ability of anti-rutting of asphalt pavement.Firstly, the thesis outlined the basic theories of long time thickness track test, based on the techniques and results got from the advanced ZCZ-7 of automatic rut instrument, which carried out in the laboratory of Hust Then applied this method in the experiment on Wuhuang expressway to get the results of standard loading of total long term thickness track test under 60°C, 65°C respectively. Furthermore, the digital simulation is carried out based on the results, that got from the experiment through the finite element software, calculated the contact area of wheel loads with visco-elastic model, and simplified dynamic loads into half-sine intermittent cyclic load, simulated real-world effects of road vehicle load also. When compare the data got from test in three-dimension with two-dimension under 60°C, the latter can meet the accuracy requirements better, thus the two-dimension method is recommended. Finally, the effect of total thickness track is analyzed in the paper, with the size of loads and geometry of the road surface as variables, the gradient of curve in the test and final deformation are proposed as the trial evaluation.
