In China, most freeways are having asphalt concrete pavement, practices show that rutting disease can have grievous impact on road performance. A reasonable rutting prediction is fundamental to rutting resistance design, it aims at establishing a model to predict rutting resistance of the pavement, to judge whether the pavement structure design and material design meet the requirements of the specification or design goal or not, also checking the design. Internal and external factors affecting rutting were considered to improve the validity of rutting prediction, and it is of great engineering significance to the improvement of asphalt pavement rutting design.Firstly, rutting prediction modeling method was analyzed in this thesis. Factors of rutting prediction modeling were analyzed to settle main parameters of the model, and the method of full-thickness rutting test combining finite element analysis(FEM) was put up.Secondly, rutting prediction modeling was studied. A model based on full-thickness rutting test was proposed considering main factors of prediction modeling, also parameters and coefficients were demarcated through tests and FEM.Lastly, considering parameters of rutting prediction model was normally set as statistical constants rather than variables with specific distribution variation, statistical variability of parameters was analyzed to establish an optimized model.A rutting prediction model was established in this thesis based on full-thickness rutting tests, and it could reflect the influence of both internal and external factors of rutting development, also the influence of statistical variation of parameters. The model was easily applicable, study of it has certain reference value to improve the rationality of rutting prediction modeling.
