| The security and stability of regional power grid is not only related to the normal power supply for local area, but also will affect the whole system’s stability, and the research on the security and stability analysis and control of regional power grid is of important practical significance. In the security and stability calculation and analysis of a real regional power grid, severe transient stability problem which is unexpected by the operation and dispatching department of the power grid is discovered in time by the author of this paper, after detailed analysis and research, stability control measures are proposed and adopted. And based on this, some matters on the security and stability analysis and control of regional power grid is studied.After studying the basic theory of power system stability, the impact of three important factors——bus bar wiring, fault clearing time, and output of generator on the stability of power system is analyzed. By the calculation and analysis of a real regional power grid, the existence of severe transient stability problem is discovered as the system grid is weak and there is an increase of a large generator in the 220 kV grid. Thus, the impact of power plant bus bar’s parallel wiring and group wiring on system stability is studied, and it is pointed out that, if the feeder lines of a power plant are respectively connected to the hub station and the end of a power grid, parallel wiring of close bus bar is preferred according to the actual situation. Shorten the fault clearing time may improve the transient stability to some extent however; its effect on severe transient stability problem is limited. In the calculation, the significant effects to improve system transient stability by reducing the output of the generator is found, and it may be an effective measure when stability problems become too complicated during the overhaul of some important power components. Different generator operational manner and the overhaul of some important components is considered in the calculation and analysis, the thermal stability problems and voltage stability problems in the system are discovered, and finally, stability control measures for the system are proposed. Up to now, it is already applied in the power grid. |
