The vertical converting node is the vital factor which helps to convert aiming different level space. The convert function includes three aspect.Which are transportation convert, informative convert and environment convert. Therefore, the study on the vertical converting node of the urban three-dimensional space system is an important research to the urban three-dimensional space system and the three-dimensional city design.Base on the theory of urban three-dimensional, observational and SD method, the thesis research two aspect including the node organization and the node function. Frist, the thesis analyze the composition of the vertical converting node, getting the elements of vertical facility and space. And then, the thesis analyze the organizing pattern of the vertical converting node, including the vertical converting node featured of facilities, the vertical converting node featured of space, the vertical converting node featured of the combination of facilities and space, and the structure and layout of each model feature analyses. Third, with the case of Optical valley plaza in wuhan, based on transportation convert,informative convert and environment convert,the thesis analyze the efficiency of the vertical converting node, and Exploration the association between vertical converting node organizing pattern and efficacy. Finally draw the conclusion: vertical converting node is the key to the three-dimensional urban space system is complete or not, the efficiency of the vertical converting node depends on its Organizing pattern, at the same time, the three-dimensional urban space system design and construction should pay attention to the vertical converting node layout and the relationship with the surrounding.
