Study On Outdoor Plaza Of Commercial Complex Based On Behavior Pattern

Urban commercial complex, an emerging commercial building type in China,is the outcome of the rapid economic development and urban development and is one of the big trends of the future commercial buildings.In urban commercial complex buildings,outdoor plaza space is not a simple traffic transition, it also plays important roles in urban functional integration, urban public space expansion and providing urban public activities spaces.In this study we conducted a questionnaire survey on visitor’s behavioral and psychological activities in outdoor plaza of a commercial complex. On the basis of the survey, we analyzed the interaction between the constitution elements and human activities, then further evaluated the overall demand, accessibility requirements, comfort needs and interaction requirements of outdoor plaza users. Finally, we provided a design for outdoor plaza which meet all the requirements of users, coming up with the issues that designers should pay attention to.
