With the far-reaching development of informatization and computer technology, the big changes in production patterns and design methods have take place in machinery manufacturing. The service-oriented Cloud Manufacturing is a new production model and technical means, which is the extension and expansion of existing cloud computing, networked manufacturing informatization, ASP platform, manufacturing grid concepts and technologies. Networked collaborative design is a new design pattern. It refers to the process of concurrent and collaborative product design of a product by team focusing on teamwork supported by collaborative environment.Recently, the booming development of crane manufacturing industry in China have taken place. However, the design capability of crane manufacturing enterprises in China, especially by small and medium sized enterprises is weak. In this thesis, the crane is designed by combining the concept of cloud manufacturing services and collaborative design methods. And the thesis also developed cloud-based collaborative design manufacturing crane platform prototype. The main study contents are listed as follows:(1)This thesis deeply studies in design method and design present situation of the crane at inland and abroad. Then the thesis describe the cloud manufacturing and networked collaborative design background, the concept of definition and specific characteristics. The concept “cloud design” combined "design is service" and collaborative design method of network, it is proposed that crane collaborative designed platform based on cloud manufacturing.(2)According to the design ideas of manufacturer's cloud-based collaborative, the building of collaborative design platform of crane based on cloud-manufacturing is proposed. Then the functional requirement of the crane cloud design platform is studied. Based on three-tier model, a cloud architecture crane design platform is proposed. And the operating modes and functions of each platform are described in detail;(3)The key technologies of designing crane cloud platform are studied, including the classification of crane design resources, virtualization encapsulation method, crane design resource similarity matching algorithms and retrieval processes and collaborative design task allocation module;(4)The development tools and development environment of the cloud-design platform prototype of crane is researched. And the function modules and database systems of the platform system are designed. Then the thesis describe how to operate it by an example of cloud design platform in details.Collaborative design platform is established based on the analysis of windows7 system, the use of ASP.NET technology,SQL server 2005, Dreamweaver8 for web editing tool and VB.NET programming language. It has a great impact on improving the efficiency of crane design industry.
