| This dissertation starts with an example of the Iran LA Cement Project to demonstrate factors that affect project progress, cost, and risks that contractors face, during the phase of equipment procurement of an EPC project. Then for the purpose of computer simulating and scheduling, this dissertation abstracts, simplifies and quantizes the project, and builds a dynamic scheduling model in which duration, cost and risk interfere with each other. Finally, by comparing the results from different decisions, this dissertation seeks a best solution to optimize the schedule, thus to save costs and to reduce risks for future projects. |
