In recent years, along with the development of economic and technology, the work of traffic inspection and over-loading governance became more and more severe while modern transportation industry has achieved rapid development, which makes the vehicle load measurement system used widely. The vehicle load measurement systemhas been designed to address the problem of over-loading, and the consequent destruction of roads, frequent traffic accidents, tax lossand the deterioration of transportation market. In order to measure the vehicle's loadmore accurately, we presents a method based on the finite element analysis of the leaf spring.Firstly, we describedthe structure of the vehicle's load-bearing and the composition of the vehicle load. The basic analysis methods of advanced contact dynamics theory aresummarized. Take the large deformation,interleaf friction and contact and other nonlinear factors into count, the FEA model of one leaf spring is built using ANSYSbased on nonlinear finite element for continua and structures. The distribution of leaf spring deformation and displacement-loadcurve are obtained. And use MATLAB to processspring deformation data thus obtain its fitting curve?Secondly, after obtained the stiffness of leaf spring and vehicle's load, based on the composition for vehicle's load characteristics, we use BP neural network to processing vehicle load data. After learn neural network theory and its implementation process, a careful selection of the network input and the number of hidden layer, a mapping was established between the characteristics of the dynamic load and vehicle static load through the use of neural network. MATLAB simulation results show that using neural network to process vehicle load datacan controlvehicle load in a satisfactory error range.Finally, a brief description of the main hardwareof the proposed system, ultrasonic distance sensor and a tire pressure measurement module were introduced, and the analysis of the sources of error during using.Then the physical map of vehicle loading system is presented.
