Electronic energy meter as the core measurement instruments of electric commodity trade settlement both of the supplier and user, the accuracy of energy measurement is directly related to the vital interests of the power company and power consumers. Electronic energy meter is one of the three major civil measurement instruments, was included in the national catalogue of the key management of measuring instruments and the compulsory certification of measuring instruments. The impulse interference generated by inductive load when it disconnected from grid will impact on the reliability of electronic energy meter. According to the requirements of the standard JJF1245.3-2010 electronic energy meter must get through transient bursts electrical fast transient burst(EFT/B) immunity test, the traditional manual testing methods have been unable to meet the test requirements. Based on Windows system, this paper designed and developed an EFT/B automatic immunity test system for different type of meters. The object-oriented programming method was used in system development, combined with the idea of modular software development and multi-threading technology. Two threads of data processing and the subordinate machine function control were design in the test software. Data processing thread achieved the testing error value extract, duplicate data remove, ultra error point stamp, sample's experiment grade evaluation and other functions; subordinate machine function control thread achieved subordinate machine working state switch, output parameter change, serial port communication status detection and other functions. By using Visual Basic as a development language, completed the design of each function module, and achieved a two-dimensional dynamic graph display, testing program loading, testing process monitoring, error data querying, and other functions.For the purpose of simultaneously control multiple subordinate instruments, system establish a wireless communication network by using Zig Bee technology. Meanwhile, In order to solve the system interference problem of the immunity test, system propose a new Zig Bee serial port communications jamming isolation from component selection to circuit and PCB design of the Zig Bee wireless module. The interference pulse peak in signal circuit decreased 85%, effectively ensure the reliability of the communication system.In the verification of system functions, the subordinate machine control functions, serial port communication functions were tested along with communication distance, data packet transmission loss rate, and capability of interference suppression of Zig Bee module. The testing results proved the integrity and reliability of this system.
