In recent years, low-rise timber house and steel structure as a low-carbon green buildings have sprung up in the country, The steel-wood composite structure roof of house is an energy-saving and environmental protection housing system that composed with color steel panel as a roof, wood as wall skeleton, light sheet metal panels as walls, and connected together by bolts, steel fittings and self-tapping screws. Based on the actual research and consulting a large number of literature, analyzed the applicability in Hainan area of this structure. The finite element software was used to simulate the Kifle G.Gebremedhin's test, Fitting the roof load-displacement curve, and last Stiffness simplified calculation formula of roof is proposed.Based on the investigation of structure in rural and ecological tourism scenic area in Hainan, the current construction situations was introduced of lower rural dwelling and building in ecological tourism scenic area in Hainan. The characteristics of wood structure and steel structure is analyzed, resources and climate characteristics in Hainan were summed up, and the construction experience of wood structure and steel structure building at home and abroad developed countries (regions), the suitable building form of steel-wood composite roof structure building in Hainan were proposed.Based on the load-displacement test of a single-story structure of steel-wood composite roof, the relationship between roof load and displacement is simulated by ANSYS and analyzed with the method of least squares. The load-displacement curves of eaves of11longitudinal columns in five situations including wood frame, wood frame with gable plate, wood frame with four walls of steel frame, wood frame with four walls of steel frame and half-slope roof, wood frame with four walls of steel frame and double-slope roof, are analyzed under horizontal loads. Results show that gable plate mainly increases the rigidity of gable frame, which has little contribution to increasing the rigidity of inner frames, and equipping longitudinal wall with steel plate has little contribution to increasing the lateral rigidity of transverse frames, but the skin effect of roof plate could significantly increase the rigidity of inner frames, and the gable is not absolutely rigid. The calculation results agree well with the experimental results.According to the shear deformation and torsional deformation and bending deformation of materials mechanics and theoretical mechanics, a simplified calculation formula of roof was deduced, The calculation results agree well with the finite element results.
