In today’s energy shortage and environmental crisis, along with our country economy development and city urbanization, building energy consumption accounts for the proportion in the total energy consumption continues to increase, so in our country the construction of energy-efficient public imminent and be imperative. Public building energy consumption problem in China is very prominent, although the state has issued a series of energy-saving measures, but public buildings still has tremendous potential for energy saving. Office building is an important building type of public buildings, reducing energy consumption of office building will be largely reduced public building total energy consumption accounted for the total building energy consumption in China in the proportion of building energy conservation in our country, and promote the overall strategic target pace. So the research on the office building energy conservation, environmental protection, energy saving, for economic and social sustainable development, has the extremely significant significance.In cold area, the building energy consumption is mainly for the winter heating energy consumption, only this one more than the national average consumption of about 27%, accounting for the total energy consumption of the 30%~40% area, but the energy consumption of buildings in cold area 73%~77% through the enclosure system lost, so the protection system of energy-saving design is critical, it is related to the energy efficiency of the whole building in cold area. Beijing as the capital of China, is the country’s political center, is not only a large number of assembly of population, but also one of the main areas of focus of office building and office building, development speed very quickly. Therefore, Beijing is a typical city in cold area, through the study of the relationship between Beijing City office building envelope structure and building energy consumption, low energy design strategy of retaining structure office building in cold area.This paper focuses on the use of energy simulation software DEST-c simulation analysis. First, by a survey of existing office building in Beijing City, combining with the related data retrieval, the public building energy efficiency design according to "standard" (GB50189-2005) and the "Beijing city public building energy efficiency design standard" (DB11/687-2009), a typical model of office buildings in Beijing. In a low power consumption design strategy office building in cold region outside the window, wall, roof and shape coefficient, analysis software focuses on the analysis of Beijing City office building envelope design parameters by using DEST-c energy (heat transfer coefficient of building shape coefficient, ratio of window to wall, external window and roof) and the energy consumption of buildings. Simulation of building heating energy consumption, energy consumption and the total building energy consumption of different enclosure structure design parameters, obtained Beijing City office building shape coefficient, the suitable range of different windows materials suitable for the window wall ratio range, the external walls and roof insulation thickness, then summarized the low-power design strategy of retaining structure office building in cold area.The results of this study, hope that through this study, for architects in the design of low power consumption of office project in cold area, to provide a reference, to make a little contribution to the cause of energy conservation in china.
