Spatial Morphological Characteristics Research For Existing Traditional Building Group In Liaoning

Liaoning is located in northeast China, whose geographical condition is complex with multicultural blend of rich cultural heritage, thus creating a unique style of traditional buildings. Traditional building groups of Liaoning, which are part of traditional Chinese architecture, have not only distinctive regional characteristics which are typical of the Northeast of traditional architecture, but also contains a wealth of artistic value, along with the history of circulation in the region under special natural and human environmental impact. The summary of morphological characteristics of space is also the exploration of ancient philosophy and aesthetic conception on architectural design level.In this paper, geographical environment in Liaoning and local culture background are both studied. The summary takes relevant literature into mind, making clear conclusions of buildings morphological characteristics. On this basis, the author focused on two levels with a courtyard space starting from the overall space. Through comparative analysis, feasibility studies and other methods, the author studied its constituent elements, organizational practices and characteristics of space.First chapter includes the purpose and significance of the research.Then it carries out background information to determine the scope of the study and research. Finally it clearly lists the structural framework; Chapter II is a foreshadowing of the follow-up study about space morphology. It also includes the construction background of Liaoning architectural groups, type division and distribution of the necessary description of current situation; Chapter III includes the morphological characteristics of the overall space exploration, with the intention of coming to the external form of artistic content macroscopic characteristics of buildings overall structure of the organization and analysis of its causes; Chapter IV focuses on the building courtyard space morphology studies. It is about courtyard property classification, analysis of its organizational practices and characteristics of space. Chapter V concludes the paper, and draws the revelations.The author collected a large number of previous data and then analyzed them.From the reality of building groups nowadays, the author was designed to complete the inductive study of the geographical features of traditional architecture in Liaoning and tried to explore the rooted reasons in the local environment and culture,which is intended to draw more objective interpretations.
