Under a uniform distributed load, the foundation settlement was a maximum in the center and a minimum at the edge. Under the ideal conditions, the settlement value of the foundation center is two times of that at edge. Based on this theory, this paper attempts to control the differential settlement by adjusting the ground rigidity distribution by regulating the columniform and add walled soil improvement configuration, to reduces the overall settlement the differential foundation settlement, realize the level design.The thesis is based on the results that calculated from numerical modeling analysis, to the number and arrangement form of the pile is variable, designed 5 groups model program and a group of non-reinforced sand model program. Through the comparative analysis for the results of the calculation of wall and column composite foundation with piled soil improvement and walled soil improvement, to study the distribution of composite foundation settlement, and the effects of total settlement and the differential foundation settlement. In different model, arranged the piled soil improvement depth combination with a maximum in the center and a minimum at the edge is the best effects. The calculation results shows that the piled soil improvement reduce the settlement of foundation, but the effects of controlling overall and differential settlement are quite different. Under the circumstance of the equal total length of the pile, it's more effective in controlling the differential settlement of foundation by increasing the length of the piles near the middle properly. Out-wall setting is also important, the bearing capacity of the area of foundation reinforcement get larger ascension because of the confinement effect of the wall, control the average settlement and differential settlement effect is obvious. According to the result of model calculation to map the corresponding settlement curve, it can be seen in the loading process, the processed foundation settlement curve is more gently, there are no obvious turning point, accordance with the requirements of the slow degeneration. For the composite foundation with walled soil improvement and piled soil improvement, reasonable arranged the length of pile composite, could reduce the overall settlement of foundation, adjust the differential settlement of foundation effectively. To make the settlement of the foundation under the action of uniformly distributed load coordination deformation, in this foundation forms properly regulate the foundation stiffness distribution, achieve the goal of leveling design.
