The World Expo is the world's highest level of comprehensive exhibition. Held since 1851 London the first session of the fair, has become the economic, technological and cultural circles of the Olympic event, has great influence in the world. From the Expo host city history, holding a successful World Expo will have a positive impact on all aspects of the host of political and economic, social and cultural, World Expo on urban planning, improvement of infrastructure and ecological environment, create jobs, technology and industrial investment, improve the international status are there are outstanding contributions.This paper first reviews the historical process of planning of Expo Park, regional planning from the angle of the macroscopic gradually into the study on the planning of the park itself, according to the structure of the paper, the relationship between the park and the city will be the development from the three aspects of design, landscape planning general plan layout of Park row and open space the breakthrough, with the World Expo planning practice experience, summarized the relationship between Expo Park and the location of the subsequent use and development of the city, Expo Park overall planning and other special planning and design characteristics.
