In recent years, as the urban transportation infrastructure and highway developrapidly, a lot of pedestrian bridges across roads have been built in cities. As theservice condition, the landscape requirement and the material performance arechanging, the structure forms of pedestrian bridges tend to be various. The space trussstructure is successfully introduced into the pedestrian bridge, and then an originalspace truss pedestrian bridge is invented. It is important for academic significance andpractical value to test and evaluate the static security and pedestrian comfort of thespace truss pedestrian bridges in service, to improve the design and analysis methodof this kind of bridge, and to instruct the maintenance during the operating period.In this thesis, the space truss of pedestrian bridge in Zhongshanmen station ofJinbin light rail in Tianjin is taken as engineering background. To test the safety andcomfort of the space truss pedestrian bridge in service, the appearance detection, thestatic test and calculation analysis, the human-induced vibration test and thenumerical simulation analysis are made. Then the theoretical guidance and practicalexperience in the operation and maintenance of this type of bridge can be provided.The main content in this thesis includes:(1) A comprehensive visual inspection, a disease cause analysis and a static testare made to the main structure of a space truss pedestrian bridge with bolt-spherejoints which has been put into use for six years, to verify the static security and designrationality of the bridge.(2) The finite element model of the space truss pedestrian bridge is built, and thenatural vibration characteristics analysis and the dynamic response analysis under thestimulation of natural vibration characteristics and crowd walking load are made,laying the foundation for the evaluation of the pedestrian comfort.(3) The response tests of dynamic acceleration and velocity under differentwalking and environment simulating conditions are made, and the comfort underdifferent conditions are evaluated according to standards at home and abroad.The method proposed in this thesis can be applied and promoted in the similartest and analysis of bridge to provide theoretical guidance and practical experience forthe design, analysis and operation and maintenance of pedestrian bridge..
