The sliding base isolation system, as a kind of reasonable, safe, effective andeconomic damping system, is being noticed by more and more scholars. However, thedisplacement-limited device research of sliding isolation is less conducted on the whole,so it is necessary to systematically analyze mechanical properties of thedisplacement-limited device and its influence on the dynamic response of sliding baseisolation structure, so as to lay a theoretical foundation for promotion and application ofsliding isolation technology.Firstly, basing on the mechanical properties of sliding-limited and energy-absorbedelement, the selection of displacement-limited device was studied preliminarily, to putforward the selection table of U-shaped steel plate and frustum of a cone. Sliding,meanwhile limited isolation device and sliding, later limited isolation device arecomposed of a new kind of coating material (MoS2) used as the friction material andU-shaped steel plate used as sliding-limited and energy-absorbed element.Secondly, basing on the prototype of shaking table test model, the comparativeanalysis of structure dynamic response of three kinds of structure system underone-directional earthquake was studied by finite element analysis program SAP2000, toverify the superiority of sliding, later limited sliding isolation system in the isolationperformance. Meanwhile, the relationship between displacement-limited deviceparameters (length of free sliding zone, stiffness of displacement-limited device) andstructure seismic response was studied on sliding, later limited sliding isolation structure, thus getting some conclusions with reference value, to provide the theoreticalbasis for parameters optimization of displacement-limited device.Finally, basing on irregular reinforced concrete frame structure, the dynamicresponse (translational response and rotational response) of three kinds of structuresystem were compared under bi-directional earthquake, showing that sliding, laterlimited sliding isolation system has good isolation effect under bi-directionalearthquake; meanwhile, for the obviously eccentric irregular structure, after usingsliding, later limited sliding isolation system, the arrangement of stiffness ofdisplacement-limited device plays an important role in reducing the response oftorsional vibration of structure, and the response of torsional vibration of structure wasadjusted and improved by friction sliding because of the free sliding zone, so as toprovide a solution to the problem of structure brittle failure from torsional vibration.
