Ming-style furniture once crowned China and the West with glorious glory.Although China today has become the world's largest furniture manufacturing and exporting country,it is famous that it is difficult to deputize, and its own brand of national characteristics is hard to find.In contrast,Renaissance Italian furniture created a miracle in furniture at the same time, but the overall level lags behind China at that time, and today's Italy has become the world's furniture industry tycoon. In order to find the root of this problem and provide new thinking for the current development of furniture, and to rejuvenate the dream of Chinese furniture,we need to look for traditional culture from the long history of furniture development, and look for design inspiration from the continuous cultural inheritance. This article adopts the literature research method, statistical analysis method and image analysis method, and carries out three comparisons of Chinese and Italian furniture in an all-round and in-depth manner.First, compare the cultural background of furniture between China and Italy in the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries, and explore the cultural genes behind Ming-style furniture and Italian-style furniture from the aspects of politics, economy, ideology, and communication.Second, compare the developmentprocess of Chinese-Italian furniture around the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries.Furniture is the connotation of different ethnic cultures in each era,and it is recognized that the development of furniture and the laws of social development go hand in hand. Finally, the emphasis is on horizontally comparing the similarities and differences between the appearance features and cultural connotations of Chinese and Italian furniture in the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries, selecting similar furniture shared by China and Italy in the same period, according to the typical materials in the series of literature and the personal pictures taken by Florence and personally taken by the author.A large number of furniture line drawings, from the style, structure, shape, decoration, materials and other aspects of analysis and comparison. It is worth mentioning that the fine structure of the furniture and the exquisite decoration of the furniture are placed in the same drawing, combining points and surfaces, explaining the arguments in detail, and summarizing the new varieties, the strange shapes, the delicate structure, the decorative beauty, and the use of wood. The conclusions of the expensive, architectural form, historical biography, cultural heritage, national spirit, and artistic fusion.Through the comparison of the three aspects, the author hopes to provide theoretical support for the study of Chinese-Italian furniture in the academic field, and explores new directions for the development of Chinese furniture in practice. She also hopes that Chinese furniture can achieve a combination of history and modernity, tradition and innovation. The unity of the Chinese nation has come out of a road to the characteristics of the Chinese nation.
