With the increasingly serious problem of “fog and haze” in China and the increasing attention to air quality problems, the research on air pollution and labor supply has emerged in recent years.Based on the network data capture technology, this paper uses AQI(Air Quality Index)as a measure of air quality, and introduces the variable of “fog and haze” attention to explore the influence of the change of people's ideas on the urban labor force. The main research content divides into three parts: The first part is to study the structural changes in the response of the labor supply to the emission of industrial polluted gases before and after the use of the AQI index. It provides the basis for the rationality of AQI as a measure of air quality and the rationality of adding the “haze” attention to the model in the second part. The second part,at the city level, studied the different responses of the three industries and the seventeen segments of the labor force to the air quality and the “haze” attention. This part aims to explore whether the air quality and the “haze” concern had a significant impact on the regional labor supply, and whether the effect is heterogeneous. The third part, based on the monthly data of the real estate, analyzes the influence of air quality and people's attention on the “haze” problem on the number of urban labor. This part aims to explore whether the influence of air quality and “haze” on the labor supply in the region has transmitted to the house price. The results show that the impact of air pollution on the urban working population has undergone structural changes in 2012 and 2013 that is the time for the AQI indicators be implemented in the cities of China.Combined with the background of AQI indicators,we can make a conjecture: from 2011 to 2013,residents' perception and reflection of air quality is more intense than before. The effect of air quality on the supply of urban labor shows an industry heterogeneity, the longer the work requires outdoor exposure, the greater the negative influence of deterioration of air quality. The third industry practitioners generally showed a higher degree of concern about the “haze” problem.Haze attention has a significant negative impact on regional housing prices, indicating that people with higher concerns for haze need lower house prices as “compensation” to stay in cities with poor air quality.
