As the mainstay of the Natural Gas Pipeline Project from Sichuan to East China,Puguan g high-sulfur gas field holds the chief responsibility for maintaining the natural environment of Chongqing municipality and Sichuan province.With the growing of environmental aware ness in China,Puguang’s environmental behavior is bound to become the focus of concerns among all sectors of society.In the meantime,a sound environmental management system c an also be a strong driving force for the enterprise’s sustainable development.The aim of an alyzing the environmental management mode,establishing a distinctive system and providin g relevant measures is to set up industry standards for domestic peers,with a view to improv ing the overall management level of environment.Puguang gas field is a giant reservoir characterized by high abundance,high pressure,high sulfide and great depth.It enjoys an average content of 15.37 percent in H2S and its proved reserve is estimated up to 300 billion cubic meters.During the course of development,no reference concerning the ecological environmental protection can be made throughout the world.Against the background of the research status of environmental protection on high-sulfur gas fields at home and abroad,this thesis analyzes systematically the ecological problems and risks in the development of Puguang gas field.Based on the practical production,this paper attempts to establish a proper environmental protection and management process from the perspective of concepts,frameworks and objectives.The purpose is to promote the establishment and optimization of management system of environmental protection and prevention and apply comprehensively the management system and the integration of environment and safety so as to conduct a systematic research on the protection efforts in Puguang gas field.
