Study On The Establishment And Censorship Of The ISO14001 Environmental Management System Referring To Construction Companies

The environment is the foundation that human beings survive, enhance viability and then develop continuously. The environment can also satisfy human beings' various need. It is gradually realized that the environment is most beneficial to the survival and development of human society. The construction industry is one of the pillar industries of the national economy. With the rapid development of the national economy, the construction industry is also developed very quickly. But the influence that construction companies act on the environment is more and more serious. At the same time, in our country, the management quality of construction companies has been very poor, they operate extensively and the waste of energy and resources is very serious. Therefore, referring to construction companies in our country, it is necessary to improve environment management quality greatly, if they want to improve economy not extensively but intensively, enhance their own market competition strength, set up a good enterprise image and eliminate the "green barrier" in the international trade.On the long-term interests, it has become an inevitable choice for construction companies to implement ISO14001 environmental management system. ISO14001 environmental management system not only inherits the advantages of the traditional environmental management, but also gives us a new sense of environmental management. Through the study of the ISO14001, we are aware that it is necessary to allow market forces to promote enterprise to strengthen environmental protection. At the same time, it doesn't have absolute standards, emphasizing the importance of continuing to improve, product life cycle analysis and resources re-using and recycling. So, the main objective of this thesis is to help the construction companies to establish and implement the ISO14001 environmental management system better, to pass the environmental management system audit successfully. Then we can use some supplementary measures to raise the standard of environmental management of the companies.This thesis summarizes concept of environmental management and ISO14000 series standards, then illustrates the similarities and differences between ISO14000 and ISO9000,clean production,BS7750,EMAS in the method of comparison research. It stresses the necessity to establish the environmental management system for construction companies, puts forward several wrong conceptions which construction companies should avoid when establishing,implementing,maintain the environmental management system, and uses analytic hierarchy process to evaluate the important environmental factors referring to the construction company. Taking the extensive,regional,transcendental,identical purposes,social characteristics of the construction companies into account, this thesis elaborates the specific steps to establish environmental management system with example, which supplies the operational references and sample for domestic construction companies to establish,implement environmental management system. Then it elaborates the procedure for construction companies to implement certification, and puts forward countermeasures to implement ISO14001 taking the difficulties to implement ISO14001 of the domestic construction companies. At last, this thesis puts forward the idea that embodying environmental management in the construction design which is illustrated in the example of Yulan Grand Theater in Dongguan, using organizations measures for environmental protection in the construction site with technical measures for environmental measures and using the social and public supervision to guarantee the implementation of the environmental management system in order to enhance the environmental management standard of construction companies.
