With the increasing deterioration of global environment and the frequent occurrence of hazy weather at home,there is an urgent need for China to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.As the world's largest carbon emitter,China must respond positively to the call.In recent years,the frequent occurrence of haze in China and the rising average temperature in China have made this task more and more urgent.China,as the world's largest developing country,is in the midst of an excessive and post-economic period of industrialization development,and economic development is still the top priority for China in the present and even the future.Therefore,how to coordinate the relationship between economic development and energy conservation and emission reduction remains the top priority of China's development.Carbon productivity refers to the GDP growth of unit carbon emissions,which is equal to the ratio of economic growth to carbon emissions.This paper mainly targets carbon productivity,which combines economic factors with environmental factors.By measuring the productivity of carbon,it can effectively measure the extent of the effort of a country or a region to cope with climate change and its economic and environmental coordination.Moreover,the United States,which is also an energy superpower,is chosen as a comparison for its better economic development and energy structure than those of China.Taking China ' s national conditions and the experience of the United States into consideration,this paper further analyzes the causes of difference in carbon productivity between the two countries,and puts forward policy recommendations for China to raise carbon productivity.This paper is divided into six chapters.Among them,the first chapter is the basic research of the paper,including research background,significance,methods,the structure of the thesis,the innovation points and difficult points,this chapter mainly introduces some basic content of the paper.The second chapter is mainly the introduction of relevant theories,including carbon productivity theory,LMDI decomposition method of related theory,energy structure evolution theory and industrial structure evolution theory,and specially introduces the energy consumption and the relationship between industrial structure and economic growth,which provide certain theoretical basis for the following research.Chapter three is about the industrial structure and energy structure of China and the United States.Aiming at studying the development development course and the present situation,the author discussed form the following three aspects,the industry structure,the structure of energy production and energy efficiency to make a comparison the different between the two countries,and the development of China,and point out the deficiencies of China's development.The fourth chapter is the empirical part and the focus of the thesis.Firstly,the value of carbon productivity can be worked out through the calculation of carbon emission value,and then the LMDI decomposition method is used to decompose the influencing factors of carbon productivity,thereby obtaining the contributory value of three major factors of energy consumption,energy efficiency and industrial structure.Through the contribution values of various factors in China and the United States to make a horizontal and vertical comparative analysis.Based on the research development in this field and the empirical findings,the fifth chapter gives suggestions from three aspects so as to raise the value of carbon productivity and improve the living environment according to China's national conditions and the experience of the United States,of which,the policy suggestions on industrial structure are to accelerate the transformation,gradually increase the proportion of the tertiary industry and promote the development of its internal industries;the policy suggestions on energy consumption are to develop and utilize new energy resources and to develop the technologies of make the coal clean;and the policy recommendations on energy efficiency are to make fiscal and tax incentives,establish relevant standards and laws.So as to raise the value of carbon productivity,achieve the 2020 carbon productivity target as soon as possible,contribute to the improvement of global carbon productivity and jointly improve the ecological environment.The last chapter is the summary of the research conclusion and the prospect based on this paper.
