Research On Decomposition Of Influencing Factors Of Carbon Emissions In Yunnan Province Based On LMD

As the world economy is developing rapidly,large amounts of carbon dioxide produced by human activities makes the global warming.While a series of problems caused by global warming,make the world understand:To achieve basic human survival and sustainable development,the urgent task is to reduce carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions.In recent years,the economic of Yunnan Province is growing rapidly,energy consumption is also rising constantly.As a low carbon pilot provinces,it’s facing double pressure of sustained economic development and carbon emission reduction.Analyzing the characteristics and studying the influencing factors of the carbon emission in Yunnan province,combined with local characteristics to make carbon reduction policy will work on carbon reduction and have theoretical guidance meaning to the construction of low carbon provinces,and have important practical significance to realize the sustainable development of economic society in Yunnan province.This study according to the data of Yunnan province from 2003 to 2013,calculates the carbon emission,analyzes law of carbon emissions in Yunnan province,and using LMDI model to decompose the factors affecting the carbon emissions of production and consumption of Yunnan,calculates the carbon emissions contribution of different modules to production and consumption separately,to identify pull factors and disincentives impacting carbon emissions of production and consumption of Yunnan,and finally proposed suggestions to reduce carbon emissions.Through empirical research and analysis,the results indicate that:there is a growing trend of carbon emissions of production and consumption in Yunnan province from 2003 to 2013.Among these factors,per capita output growth and per capita income are the major driving factors that made the carbon emissions growth of production and consumption;producing energy intensity and coefficient of carbon emissions are the main inhibitors.As the contribution rate to carbon emissions of production and living consumption of driving factors is greater than restraining factors,therefore,carbon emissions in Yunnan province will still growing.
