Medical clothing is th e professional clothing that health care work ers are wearing.Currently,not only in the dom estic hospital or Western hospital,medical clothing tends to Westernization and color and style are more single of it,so it is very important that we do the reform of traditional medical clothing and make the change of people's understanding on the traditional medical clothing.In this pap er,taking the Hebei P rovincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for example,we take the method that combining the theory and the practice to study C hinese medicine clothing in order to achieve the purpose of design improvement.First of all,this paper from the history of western medical clothing,the function of medical clothing,the effect on patients with psychological and the social impact,to elaborate th e styles,colors,fabrics of Hebei province hospital' s medical clothing and it d iscusses the p resent situation of the h ospital medical clothing;Secondly,we adopt the m ethod of que stionnaire and on-the-spot visiting,to understand the m edical staff in the hospita l to improve the idea and the dem and,according to the obtained data,we summarizes the problems in the hospital medical clothing and seek im provement direction;Finally,from the aspects of culture,style,color,fabric,etc,in Chines e traditional costume culture as a starting point,through the actual edition clipping,to im prove the hospital medical clothing design and to make the final product.It is the inevitable trend of the reform of medical clothing in Chinese hospitals in order to carry forward the tradition and the new.The design and improvement works co rrectly to d eal with aesthetic and functional,em phasize comfort and culture,it is a hospital m edical garment with certain Chin ese cultural characteristics.
