Volatile organic matter(VOCs)has become a major atmospheric pollutant,which has a significant impact on environment and human health.Industrial emissions is one of the main sources of VOCs.In most cases,adsorption method is used for large volume of low concentration organic waste gas,zeolite wheel as a kind of efficient VOCs adsorption treatment technology has been widely used in foreign countries.As the core part of the technology of zeolite,the choice of adsorbent is directly related to the purification effect of organic waste gas.The mercerized zeolite has a special microporous structure,which has large specific surface area,high temperatur resistant and easy to remove,also cheap and easy to use,is an ideal adsorbent.Based on the study of the zeolite,this paper studies the following problems:(1)the synthesis method and influencing factors of mercerized zeolite;(2)the preparation method of mercerization of zeolite with honeycomb ceramics as the carrier;(3)adsorption performance of the carrier adsorbent.Firstly,the synthesis methods and synthesis mordenite influence factors was studied,use X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),nitrogen adsorption and other methods to characterized and analysis the samples,results showed that synthesis mordenite with silicate powder as silicon source was the best.Ratio of n(Na2O):n(Al2O3):n(SiO2):n(H2O)=5:1:25:293.6,the optimum synthesis conditions is that the sadio of silicate powder,sodium aluminate,deionized water is 12:1:32,optimum reaction temperature is 175℃,the best reaction time is 76.5 h.The crystallinity of the synthetic mercerization is high and the shape is ellipsoid,and its specific surface area is 470.667m2·g-1.In order to make the mercerized zeolite powder become an absorbent with certain mechanical strength,the cordierite honeycomb ceramics as the carrier was selected,the dipping method is used to apply the mercerized zeolite to the carrier.The experimental results showed that withγ-Al2O3 as adhesive,polyethylene glycol 400 as surfactant plup,the coating rate is about 45.5%,by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)carrier holes with thicker coating a layer of mordenite can be seen.In order to test the VOCs adsorption performance of prepared mercerized zeolite,this paper used the adsorption equipment to study the VOCs intake parameters,represented by toluene,such as the intake concentration and the intake flow’s impact on the adsorption performance of the carrier adsorbent.The results showed that the removal rate of toluene was 100%by honeycomb adsorbent,the saturation time of adsorbent was shortened with the increase of the concentration of toluene.The influence of inlet velocity on carrier adsorbent increases with the increase of inlet velocity.
