Research On Foster's Ecological Marxism

While the ecological problems spreads all over the world,in which the developed countries such as the United States were facing the situation of weak environment reformation,influenced by the Marx's view of materialism about nature and history,by Marcuse's doctrine of "capitalism of technology" and Ecology,Foster built a brand new field-the research on Marxist Ecology.Foster's though about Marxist Ecology mainly includes three parts: the Theory of Material Transformation and Fracture;the Critique of the Capitalist Eco-crisis;and Looking ahead Eco-revolution.On the basis of the Theory of Marxist Materialism,Foster reconstructed the Theory of Marxism Material Transformation,criticized the Capitalist Eco-crisis.He refused the the capitalist technological and market way to resolving eco-crisis due to enlarging production scale,combined Material Transformation and Fracture with Globalization,inferred that the ecological expansion of capitalism will result in a series of ecological contradictions all over the world in the end.Foster pointed out,we can realize sustainable development through eliminating the Alienation between Human and Nature,realize the harmonious relationship between human and nature through removing the alienation between human and society.Studying Foster's Ecology Marxism may enrich the research on Marxism,widen the range of the Ecological Marxism,transcends the environment theory before.Foster's thought about sustainable development may enlighten the activities for environment protection and ecological civilization.
