Driller-drilling technology is the key to making safe production while drilling,as the oil becomes the main source of energy of our country's strategy,the amount of exploring oil resource is beginning bigger and bigger.But the difficulty of exploitation is increasing duo to the complicated geological condition.Therefore,developing of driller's drilling simulation training system has received extensive attention of the researchers.By using driller-drilling simulation training system,drilling workers can have a comprehensive and systematic command of operation skills,and deal with some emergency situations.In the simulation system,corresponding 3D scenes for all processes of drilling and controlling are needed to display in real-time,such as making a connection,tripping and the treatment of under-well accidents and so on.Based on three-dimensional cartoon or OpenGL and Flash software,the traditional methods used in drilling simulation system integrate most of the operation processes into one three-dimensional animation played in terms of frames by programming.However,these methods can only display with the pre-designed animation sequence and cannot play several animations at the same time.Meanwhile,these methods lack the controllability in real time.Along with the developing of virtual reality technique in all kinds of industry,the method of using virtual reality technique in drilling environment is becoming possible.In order to improve the performance of the existing simulation system,this thesis designs a driller-drilling training system based on Virtools---a three-dimensional virtual environment development system,and aims to meet the need of simulation training for drilling.First,the interface of the drilling simulation system is designed by using C++ Builder,which can exchange control commands via a database with Virtools.Then,some key function modules are designed based on Virtools Building-Blocks functions.Demonstration of the system shows that the system can control each animation independently in real time and can satisfy the demands of flexible control in the operation.
