Rods are the key components of the mechanical work in the producing.The function of the rods are transmitting the energy from the ground to underground,and lifting the oil.Recently the new rods and old rods can't be identified accurately.So the life of rods can't be forecasted.Additionally the new rods and old rods always work together.Obviously old rods fail earlier than new ones,which ignored the advantage of new rods.So the management for the life of the rods has a great significance.Accurate understanding of each rod's work history has attached great importance to researchers.A method to track the life cycle of rods is designed in this paper.RFID technology is used to track the rod working conditions in this paper.By opening a hole and put an electronic chip at the end of rods,working conditions of rods can be tracked.Additionally we focused on the simulation analysis by using ANSYS software for the rod force status in the openings of different sizes.By comparing analysis of stress before and after openings,the final analysis results can guide the reasonable size of hole.And electronic tags module,the data collection module,the implantation and projection of tags module has been designed.Tables and data items of the Oracle database also have been designed.Then the management for the life of the rods system has been built.What's more,the method of rod life expectation based on statistics and analysis to many reasons of rods' failure were studied.The modified Goodman Diagram mothed has been described in this paper.And many factors that affect fatigue life were discussed,such as surface condition,inclusion size,cycle rate,corrosion and corrosion inhibitor.Stress in every section of a rod can be calculated with wave equation and Newton difference method.Additionally the rod life computational formula was deduced with the simulation analysis.Finally,the management for the life of the rods has been programmed to a B/S computer application with the ASP.NET.And rods can be tracked and managed with the help of this system.
