There are many oil spill pollution case due to petrochemical enterprises in China and abroad in recent years, especially taking great harm to marine environment. Therefore, this article regards sewage system of Huangdao crude oil depot as the research object and takes research on the equipment reliability.Through reading the literature,I get to know the overview of oily wastewater from depot and the common sewage treatment methods.Combined with field investigation,I mastered the technological process and main information of equipment types and operation parameters of Huangdao depot sewage system. For the hidden danger point founded in survey--reliability of oil separation tank,a simulation is taken by the Fluent software for the factors that effect the reliability. These factors include the oil content of the entrance, inlet pressure, water seal height and structure of separation tank.A conclusion is get that the maximum oil leakage with reliable operation of separation tank.At the same time, some guidance to the field operation is given.Indoor experimental model is established, experiments with the same simulated conditions obtain the curve of oil content of the separation tank outlet over time, which is similar to the simulation results. The key facilities and equipment in the entire sewage system-two water pump equipment in the pump room, separation tank in sewage field and contact oxidation pool are checked respectively in flow rate, residence time and air supply. The check results meet the requirements. But the equipment safety margin is not enough. Some advice is given to the field operation.
