| Laundry powder is one of the major detergent.Hence detergency was more concerned with instead of anti-caking or flowability by technologist.Actually,anti-caking or flowability did may lead to decreased production operation efficiency,increased rework hours,etc.Moreover,as a result of the poor flowability and caking,the powder’s appearance and usability will be affected thus bring a poor consumer experience,even consumer confidence.These should be taken seriously.This research focus on the formula,production processes,package and storage of laundry powders,to analyzes factors that affect the flowability and anti-caking properties of laundry powders.Experiments were designed with gradient factors,powder samples were gathered and tested.This work provided a better selection to produce powder with great flowability,anti-caking and other parameters.1、Formula:Laundry powder’s formula is not only the key of detergence and also influences the flowability and anti-caking.This essay leads an opinion to optimize formulation systematically,choosing appropriate ratio of LAS,AES and K12 surfactant,with dosage as 15%,1% and 1%,to produce proper size laundry powder particles.AEO7 is a viscosity surfactant,and makes detergence and also stickiness to the powder,the addition dosage in 2% would be easily controlled.Sodium p-toluenesulfonate can give great flowability of slurry mixing and atomization,it’s advantageous to the particle forming with only 1% dosage.found to provide skeleton structure,strengthen the particles with 10% dosage in formula,also adjusting 4A zeolite with 10% addiction to reduce particle surface activity.Results show that the optimal formula can significantly improve flowability and anti-caking property.2、Process:This essay brings a new horizon to analyze the laundry powder particle morphology from the microcosmic view.With the electron microscope,it was found that when particle diameter falls into 150μm to 250μm the particle is more likely to reach a ball size,and this size can make a better flowability and anti-caking due to the research.According to this result,improving slurry preparation,leading further studies on the slurry mixing sequence must follow liquid before solid,ageing slurry in 70℃ and concentration of 70% at least 30 mins.After mixing,drying process is the key,controlling atomization pressure in 40kg/cm2,keeping drying temperature about 100℃ and using 3.28 mm diameter of atomization device’s,ideal particles would be collected following the process.Meanwhile,Adding 3% of Sodium Carbonate and 4A zeolite respectively and optimizing the atomization effect of non-ionic surfactant in the post treatment,which may lead an good influence to the flowability and anti-caking are also considered in the research.The results showed that atomization process adjustment and optimization of post treatment is the key technology to improve flowability and the anti-caking property.3 、 Package and transportation: Besides,being squashed or crashed during the transportation or storage may also lead to laundry powder particle crashed and caking issue.Discuss appropriate treatment such as designed packaging with paper or plastic box,and deduce the stack height and time,optimize the speed of logistics can reduce the caking tendency and ensure the flowability.According to the results of this research,these techniques were proved by production which can obtain laundry powder with good performance of flowability and anti-caking.In 3 months production track,it’s demonstrated that the application of the relevant technologies in this paper effectively reduces caking rates and improves flow properties,with about 8.52% decline of caking exceeding rate in the production process. |
