Vaporwave art has been nowadays one of the most popular online arts,which is unique in elements and forms.Originating from vaporwave art,vaporwave costume has been recently sprung up.As aesthetics of grotesque is one of the most notable aesthetic features in waporwave art,this article focuses on delivery of aesthetics of grotesque in vaporwave costume.This article firstly diacusses vaporwave costume and grotesque aesthetics language,and summarises related theories of the two concepts.Secondly,it concludes the reason of the popularity of vaporwave costume,and analyses related markets.This article mainly explores grotesque aesthetics language of vaporwave coatume from three aspects of emotion characteristics,forms and design languages,and has a conclusion.After explaining and analysing the delivery of aestheticsof grosteque in vaporwave costume,it will provide certain reference in the study in related fields for counterpart and have realistic significance in the study of popular trends of vaporwave costume for other designers.
