The Study On The Development Of Low-carbon Hotel

According to the study of World Tourism Organization,tourism is one of the sources of global greenhouse gas emissions.And its carbon emission will continue with 2.5% of the average annual growth before 2035.In May 2009,Copenhagen held business summit on climate change.During the meeting,the World Economic Forum presented the report �Towards a Low Carbon Travel and Tourism Sector'.The report proposed that we should reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases on the transportation,accommodation and catering.Our country had a positive response,and put the energy conservation and emissions reduction into the national economy and social development of our country's long-term planning.At the same time,it encouraged hotel industry to have a positive plan on the energy conservation and emissions reduction.The development of low-carbon hotel has become an inevitable trend of energy conservation and sustainable development.With the exploration of academics and hotel practitioners on low-carbon environmental protection,the concept of environmental protection,sustainable development,energy conservation and emissions reduction,low carbon economy also gradually integrated into the construction and operation management of the hotel.The paper has used the method of literature research on the preparation.Through the literature platform,a large number of literature retrieval has been made.This paper,regarding the low-carbon economy,sustainable development and circular economy as the theoretical basses,has elaborated the concept of low-carbon hotel,discussed the characteristics of low-carbon hotel and summed up that development evaluation indexes of low-carbon hotel includes hotel low-carbon design,low-carbon equipment and technology,low-carbon management,low-carbon guidance,carbon sink and hotel energy structure.The paper discussed the development of low-carbon hotels and has selected De Zhou Solar Valley Micro-E Hotel to carry on the case analysis.The representative hotel has a micro emission on carbon for the characteristic.This article has pointed out that the development of low carbon hotel is the requirement of environmental protection,national policy and hotel sustainable development,analyzed the successful experiences on low-carbon development of the case hotel in hotel low-carbon design,low-carbon equipment and technology,low-carbon management,low-carbon guidance,carbon sink and hotel energy structure,using for reference to other hotels,and has pointed out the shortcomings of De Zhou Solar Valley Micro-E Hotel on low-carbon development.Finally,on the basis of theoretical research and case analysis,this paper has put forward some countermeasures to promote the development of low-carbon hotel from the hotel internal environment--hotel design,energy structure,management,talent,low-carbon consciousness and hotel external environment � low-carbon guidance,industry platform,hotel publicity and brand image.These countermeasures and suggestions are used for reducing the cost of hotel,promoting the sustainable development of hotel,and they are positively responded to the national energy conservation and emission reduction policy,making contribution to environmental protection.
