In the ecosystem, one of the important attributes is ecological function. Because of the increase of human disturbance, the structure and function of ecosystem have been destroyed, the deteriorating ecological environment has become a serious obstacle to the further development of social economy. To evaluate the water ecosystem health and ecological function of water basin, in order to carry out ecological function zoning, so as to improve the functions of the ecological system,and improve the service function.In this paper, Chaohu is taken as as the research area, through understanding the characteristics of regional ecological carrying capacity, evolution and present situation in this region. From the point of view of ecosystem services, this paper uses the principle of landscape ecology to evaluate the service function of regional ecosystem.Considering the difference of ecological carrying capacity, hydrological landscape unit and the administrative unit of multi-scale ecosystem service and its spatial characteristics can be a good measure of regional sustainable development. In this way, the ecological carrying capacity can be a good measure of regional sustainable development, and then quantitative assessment of regional sustainable development problems. Among them, the model and method of constructing ecological carrying capacity can effectively guide the construction of regional ecological environment.The main research contents of land ecological carrying capacity in Chaohu area:(1) Ecological evaluation unit research. The landscape pattern of the study area was analyzed and evaluated by the method of landscape index analysis, to determine the size of the evaluation unit.(2) Research on the method of constructing evaluation model. Analysis on the main factors of ecological system pressure factors and elastic force, the ecological pressure index and ecological resilience index as the evaluation index system, the construction of ecological carrying capacity evaluation index system, respectively to evaluate the ecological pressure and elastic force, then the regional ecological carrying capacity and ecological carrying level system development trend analysis.(3) Research on ecological carrying capacity. Ecological carrying capacity is a comprehensive reflection of regional ecosystem service capability and social economic development pressure. From the two aspects of the elasticity and the pressure of the ecosystem, the ecological carrying capacity of the ecological function areas in the study area was analyzed and evaluated, and the ecological function area was determined.(4) The study of spatial pattern optimization in Chaohu. For the ecological function is good, high bearing capacity of the region, the use of strict ecological protection, prohibit the development of activities. For the ecological function is better,the bearing capacity of the region to take restrictions on the development of countermeasures. For the ecological carrying capacity is relatively low, it is necessary to take the necessary restrictions on the development strategy. For the key areas of social and economic development to optimize the development of the strategy, and the key areas need to focus on the development of countermeasures.Related research findings include:(1) Using the grid method to evaluate evaluation unit to determine the ecological environment around Chaohu area assessment unit, according to the calculation of landscape index, combining with qualitative and quantitative analysis, and the landscape grid size of the study area was determined to be 200m.(2) Evaluation of ecological carrying capacity based on administrative division and watershed division, this paper analyzes the classification index and the corresponding state of the ecological carrying capacity index. The evaluation results of ecological carrying capacity indicate the development of ecosystem with four grades: red, yellow,blue and green.(3) In the process of the construction of the evaluation model, the establishment of evaluation index system for ecological function regionalization for the evaluation unit, the land use / cover as a starting point, considering the types and spatial pattern of regional ecological system, combined with the definition of ecological carrying capacity, the regional ecological carrying capacity and its spatial differentiation comprehensive evaluation, to verify the accuracy and scientificity of the ecological carrying capacity evaluation model model.(4) On the basis of the study on the ecological carrying capacity of Chaohu area,the ecological function areas are divided into the following four functional areas:optimal development, key development, restricted development and prohibited development. At the same time, according to the different types of optimal development, the corresponding development proposals and spatial optimization schemes are given for each ecological function area, which provides a scientific reference for the development of Chaohu area and the spatial pattern of ecological carrying capacity.
