Chinese Elderly Toy Design Based On Perceptual Engineering Theory

Today's society has entered an aging society is an indisputable fact that the quality of life of the elderly and physical health has become the focus of attention. With the improvement of people's living standards, the concept of life changes, the elderly consumption gradually increased, more and more elderly people are willing to own physical health and spiritual life to improve the shopping consumption, people concerned about the elderly Health awareness is also getting higher and higher, and now many people will have a sense of society to improve the quality of life of the elderly. It can be said that in today's society, the elderly still have a certain spending power. The physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly determines their scope of activities is getting smaller and smaller, the venue of the recreational activities with the growing age of the elderly is increasingly not applicable. Therefore, the daily life of the elderly become boring,monotonous,the elderly will be a very lack of spiritual life,then the elderly will increase the fun of old people's lives, to meet the spiritual life of the elderly.With the advent of information and experience, product designers gradually realize that consumers increasingly high demand for product personality, the emotional level of the product in the personal needs of the growing. In the process of product design, to meet the basic functions of the premise of the product, the designer must meet the user needs to feel the level of design goals. As a new method of product research and development,perceptual engineering has aroused widespread concern in academia. This research project mainly applies the theory of perceptual engineering to the method of Chinese elderly toy design, and discusses how to design More in line with the needs of older Chinese toys.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) Firstly, this paper introduces the concept of perceptual engineering, reveals the connotation and essence of perceptual engineering, designs the design method and measurement method of perceptual engineering, and analyzes the design practice of perceptual engineering in art design.(2) From the perspective of the users of toys for the elderly to explore the design of the elderly under the perceptual engineering, mainly from the elderly physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly toy design elements.(3) From the toy itself to explore the perceptual engineering under the elderly toy design,summed up the analysis of the classification of toys and the elderly toy classification.(4) The Chinese elderly toys and emotional engineering design process to establish.(5) Finally, through the preceding comprehensive analysis, according to the perceptual engineering design of the elderly toys.In this paper, we hope to design the toys which accord with the needs of the elderly through the study of the perceptual engineering and the design elements which should be paid attention to in the elderly toy design.
