Ulaanbaatar is the center of Mongolia's economic,political,commercial and cultural.Ulaanbaatar is located in the northern part of Mongolia,the valley of the Tula River.Elevation of about 1351m,is a typical inland climate,the lowest temperature in winter reached-40 degrees,the highest temperature in summer up to 35 degrees,the average annual temperature is-2.9 degrees.Ulan Bator is the mountains on both sides of the north and south,the Tula River from the south of the Borg mountain at the foot of the east from west to west slowly flowing,both sides of the vast grasslands,so the east and west direction is the direction of urban development.The main area of the city is with the north shore of the Tula River.Ulaanbaatar is the largest city in Mongolia and is also the political,economic and transportation center of Mongolia.Most of the factories and enterprises are located here,Ulaanbaatar industrial industry to light industry and food processing industry-based,the city's industrial output value accounted for about half of the country's total industrial output value.With the continuous strengthening of the status of the political and economic center of Ulaanbaatar and the sustained and rapid economic growth,the population expansion trend of Ulaanbaatar is becoming more and more serious.The resident population of Ulaanbaatar is 590,000 in 1990,640,000 in 1995,990,000 in 2000,and 1.13 million in 2010,accounting for 41%of the population.In the past 20 years,the country's average population growth rate was 1.3%,while the average population growth rate in Ulaanbaatar was 3.3%,and the population distribution was uneven and the population gathered to the center.A diverse mix of issues have been highlighted over the years since:confusion of values in a free market,economic inflation,the wealth gap,collapse of the traditional nomadic system,overgrazing,destruction of the natural environment,melting permafrost due to global warming,progressive desertification,water crises,water pollution,and more).Such problems are also environmental issues in the capital of Ulaanbaatar.This paper first elaborates and evaluates the related literatures on the relationship between population and environment,Secondly,it describes the population of Ulaanbaatar,the distribution of population,the structure of population,the family structure of population,the employment structure of population,the actual situation of population of Ulaanbaatar,But describes the characteristics of the natural environment of Ulaanbaatar,the actual situation of the natural environment,and finally the Ulaanbaatar,the population and the environment of the actual situation analysis of existing problems and policy.
