Study On Air Pollution Control Countermeasures In Ulaanbaatar City,Mongolia

Cities are often accompanied by air pollution in the process of industrialization and urbanization,and the city of Ulaanbaatar,the capital of Mongolia,is no exception.Mongolia is one of the most polluted countries in the world during the cold weather.According to statistics reported by the Mongolian government,the real-time detection data of fine particles at 5 am on January 30,2018(around the Western Crossroads)is 3320 ?g/m3,which is 133 times more than the concentration limit set by the World Health Organization.Living in a place with such a serious pollution has a great impact on people's health,especially on children's health.This paper takes Ulaanbaatar City as the research object,in addition to exploring the current situation of air pollution control in Ulaanbaatar City and the problem is also to study the experience of foreign air pollution control,and make small suggestions on the air pollution control measures in Ulaanbaatar City.Although the government has continuously adopted air pollution control measures since 2011,due to the characteristics of the capital's geographical environment,urban energy consumption structure,population concentration,public facilities supply,government revenue distribution,and inadequate implementation,there is no good governance.According to scholars' research and statistics,if we can't take air pollution control measures quickly,air pollution-related health expenditure will increase by 4.8 billion per year by 2025,and direct health costs for children will reach 24.5 billion,an increase by 33%from 2017 to 2025.For Mongolia,because the economic situation is not strong,we must first start from the measures that can be implemented in daily life.Strengthening citizens' awareness of environmental protection is one of the first steps that need to be taken.The pollution from ger districts accounts for 80%of the air pollution sources in Ulaanbaatar.Therefore,in order to improve the living conditions of ger district residents and alleviate the pollution of burnt coal,it is necessary to adopt measures such as reforming ger districts,producing environmentally friendly products that replace coal,restricting the use of raw coal,and using other energy sources.In recent years,traffic jams in Ulaanbaatar City are very serious.It is necessary to rectify urban automobile exhaust pollution and strengthen public transportation construction.The problem of air pollution in Ulaanbaatar city is quite prominent.It is necessary to learn from the experience of foreign air pollution control.It is necessary to learn from the governance of developed countries,take practical measures in combination with reality,and effectively improve the governance effect.
