Odor is a common irritant gas in daily life.So far,there are dozens of odors that have been found to have great harm to human body.There are eight kinds of controlled odors in our country.The odor pollution has the characteristics of sudden and transient.At present,there are two methods of odor detection,such as artificial olfactory discrimination method and GCMS,which both need to be sampled in advance and lack of effectiveness.In order to improve the on-line detection ability and supervision level for odor pollution,a composite detection technique is proposed,and the automatic on-line monitoring and early warning instrument is developed.Aimed at the on-line detection of odor gas,describes the main methods of odor detection and the development status of domestic and abroad and analyzes the defects of current detection methods.What’s more,combined with the actual needs,proposes the on-line detection technology of compound odor,which is suitable for China’s national conditions.The technology is integrated with the automatic sampling pretreatment,laser spectrum detection and olfactory discrimination,and can achieve early warning and remote monitoring of the monitoring points.Thus,it can be used to evaluate the odor pollution and trace the source.According to the proposed technology scheme,the on-line monitoring and warning system for odor pollution has been developed.Secondly,the paper mainly introduces the gas dilution system and automatic sample unit.And according to the actual needs of the odor warning instrument,the special monitoring software and the special database of odor are designed.The combination of the software and the database can realize the real-time display,storage and historical query of the odor pollution monitoring data.Finally,this paper analyzes the detection unit of the on-line monitoring and early warning system.The stability and linearity of the laser spectrum detection system show that the hollow waveguide cell can replace the traditional cell to realize on-line measurement.While the influence of temperature and pressure are that the spectral signal decreases with the increase of the sample gas temperature and decreases with the increase of the pressure.So the modified formula is proposed.The response of different kinds of odor and the stability of the sensor were tested,showing that this sensor can be used for different kinds of odor detection.The maximum dilution rate and the linear feature of the system were measured.The dilution system can achieve 330 times even dilution.According to the field monitoring data,finding that the change of odor index is opposite to the change of temperature and the same with humidity.The field operation of the instrument shows that the odor of the on-line monitoring and early warning apparatus can be used for the monitoring and early warning of odor pollution.
