Along with the advancement of urbanization,building renovation and update has unavoidably become an important part in the process of urban development.At the same time,what course to follow to dispose the disused building materials after the reconstruction? Simple processing for old construction materials,like rubbish discarding,landfilling inevitably leads to the low energy efficiency and the waste of construction resources in an economic perspective,and will cause the corresponding environmental pollution.On the other hand,the buildings as a "witness" of the urban development is representing the humanism feelings in the perspective of urban cultural heritage;Therefore simple "one size fits all" method in updating old constructions will,to a certain extent,cause the lack of urban culture and will be bound to cut off the replacement between new buildings and the old ones in the continuation of old buildings' history,emotion,mentality.For the above problems,the background of this thesis will be based on the demand of our country's current economic development for construction update.And combined with related theories and the present situation of the researches both at home and abroad in the circulation economy,this article is to analyze the necessity of building materials in space design reuse,urgency,cultural heritage and aesthetic value,according to the knowledge of the comprehensive utilization of multiple disciplines(such as environment,psychology,design science,architecture,etc.).In addition,related theory knowledge as the old building materials in space design reuse theory is to be dicussed herewith.Through summarizing related literature at domestic and abroad in this aspect of effective solutions,and combined with the instance analysis,this essay is also to aim at how to reuse in old building materials in space design effective design principles and design methods.The hope of this article in research results is from the micro level with the old building materials in the space design reuse of systematic theoretical guidance and positive role in promoting,expecting to reduce building reconstruction in the process of urbanization,resolving the related problems such as resources waste and correspondingcity culture construction.
